Thank you, Donna! I love thinking up new conflicts for old stories and raising the stakes higher and higher for their protagonists. The actual writing of these ‘new’ stories – which I keep short and sweet, too – give me even more insight in how conflict works, but it also allows me to hone my writing skills.

Like a sudden storm, the illness had rolled out over the lands like a blanket of everlasting night, morphing life into nothing more than grains of sand and reducing me to nothing more than my shadow.
